Zechariah Chapter 3 1~~And he {Zechariah's teaching angel} showed me {Zechariah} Joshua the high priest standing   {RBT says this means Joshua is standing   at the place of the alter where he ministers   until the temple is erected} before the angel of Jehovah/God, and Satan/'the accuser' {Satan} standing at his right hand "Satan'ing him'/"accusing him". {Note: Satan is not a name, it is a title. It means 'to accuse'. Lucifer the son of the morning is the name and another title for the most intelligent, most beautiful, most privileged angel God created. Lucifer committed the first sin through his arrogance. He said 'I will make myself like the Most High' - a sin of arrogance. He and his followers revolted against God and the revolt was put down. Lucifer and his fallen angels were condemned to the Lake of Fire forever. This sentence is 'on appeal'. And, the human race was created to recreate the crime. Lucifer, under his title of Satan, presents believers before God the Father and accuses them as vile sinners. Jesus Christ, here as the Angel of Jehovah, is our defense attorney. The same issues are presented over and over with the same result. Satan accuses us of being vile sinners (true) but Jesus counters with the fact that He was judged for that sin at the cross. Under the Law of Double Jeopardy that sin can not be judged again, so the case is thrown out of court. Here it is Joshua's turn. Joshua is being accused of being such a sinner that he has no right to be the high priest. Jesus counters and of course wins the case. And, this is Joshua the high priest and not Joshua the son of Nun. They should not be confused as the same person.} {Defense Ministry of The Lord} 2~~And Jehovah/God said unto Satan/'the accuser', Jehovah/God rebukes you   {We learn in the NT that this is actually   God the Son explaining that Satan's accusation failed -   Jerusalem would be restored,   the Temple would be completed   and Joshua would be its high priest}, O Satan/'the accuser' even Jehovah/God Who hash chosen Jerusalem rebukes you.   {This time this is God the Father. It means it was part   of God's divine plan that Jerusalem would be restored   to its former greatness. And, God's will would be done.} Is not this a brand {a branch with part placed in a fire} plucked out of the fire?   {The branch is Joshua as a type for all believers. We all sin   and have a part of us stuck in the fire. But when Christ paid   the price for that sin on the cross, when we use I John 1:9 and   confess to God that sin, we are purified - like the branch being   pulled from a fire.} 3~~Now Joshua was clothed with garments covered with excrement {crap}   {when we sin, our 'clothes/spiritual life is stained and 'we stinkith'} and stood before the angel   {stood before the angel of Jehovah - actually Jesus Christ}. 4~~And He {angel of Jehovah} answered and spoke unto those that stood before him, saying, "Take away the filthy garments from him."   {see I John 1:9 - 'and purify you from all sins' - when you   rebound} And unto him He said, Behold, I {Jesus Christ} have caused your sin/iniquity {`avon} to pass from you, and I will clothe you with change of raiment   {Joshua is back in pure clothing and can function as high priest -   after Joshua confesses his sins}. 5~~And I said, "Let them set a pure/'spiritually clean' mitre { tsaniyph} upon his head {the headgear for the high priest}. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments   {clean garments replacing the crap covered ones}. And the angel of Jehovah/God {Jesus Christ} stood by {as our Savior - as our defense attorney}. {Verses 6-7: Message of Christ} 6-7~~And the angel of Jehovah/God {Jesus Christ} kept on causing communication to Joshua, saying, 7~~ Thus said Jehovah/God of hosts, "If you will Walk in My Ways   {the righteous Way of God - stay in fellowship by confessing sins   committed}, and if you guard My commandments, then you shall also judge My house and shall also keep my courts   {the Levitical priests were the administrative judges in Israel} and I will give you places to walk among these that stand by." {Verses 8-9 -Message of God Via Zechariah} 8~~"Hear, listen and obey {shama'} now, O Joshua the high priest, you and your fellows that sit before you   {the Levitical priests} for they are men wondered at. For, behold, I {God} will bring forth my servant . . .   {Jesus Christ with emphasis on His 1st Advent - the Savior} the branch   {Jesus Christ with emphasis on His 2nd Advent - King of Kings -   Son of David the 'branch of the tree of Jessie'}. 9~~"Behold the Stone   {Jesus Christ is the cornerstone between Israel and the Church   He is the 'petra' on which the Church will be built and yet He is   also the King of Davidic line} that I {God} have laid before Joshua . . . upon one stone shall be seven eyes   {Seven is the perfect number in the scriptures.   Eyes refer to bible doctrine in the souls - the   eyes are windows to the soul - in Revelation   we see that top angels have a 'uniform of eyes' -   they had exceptional divine viewpoint from studying bible   doctrine - Jesus Christ, in His humanity has perfect divine   viewpoint}. Behold, I {God} will engrave the graving thereof, said Jehovah/God of hosts, and I will remove the sin/iniquity of that land in one day {Note: RBT says this is a dual prophecy of the end of the 5th cycle of discipline.
